Charting the Course: Strategic Plan (S2027) BCT Update

In April 2024, The Board of Directors approved the TRBOT five-year strategic plan, S2027. This plan outlined business-as-usual activities such as advocacy efforts, membership growth in growing industries (manufacturing, innovation and automotive), as well as finding efficiencies across the organization, enabling the Board to carve a path to breakeven financially.

The anchor point of the strategic plan was the introduction of a new action-oriented partnership council, the Business Council of Toronto (BCT). Through an Executive Table and three pillar committees focused on specific high-potential areas - the Climate and Energy Transition, Advanced Manufacturing and the GTA West Economic Gateway – the BCT brings the "leaders of leaders" together to close our region’s staggering productivity gap and to work with government on priorities that matter.

The Business Council of Toronto was formally launched in March 2024.

With our region's most influential leaders at the helm, the BCT will work with government to drive action that will stand as a turning point for our economic and social prosperity. We have assembled an impressive group to lead the charge:
